The basic working principle of wire cutting: use the thin metal wire (copper wire or molybdenum wire) moving quietly as an electrode to perform pulse spark discharge cutting on the workpiece. The fine molybdenum wire is used as the tool electrode for cutting, and the wire storage cylinder makes the molybdenum wire move forward and backward alternately, and the processing energy is supplied by a pulse power supply. The working liquid medium is poured between the electrode wire and the workpiece, and the worktable moves according to the predetermined slag control program in the two coordinate directions of the horizontal plane, and the servo feed moves according to the state of the spark gap, thereby synthesizing various curved trajectories and cutting the workpiece into shape .
Anything that is difficult to process in mechanical processing, such as tiny holes, narrow slits, thin plates that are easy to cut and deform, and even electrodes of electric sparks are suitable for wire cutting.
In addition, the surface roughness of the parts after processing can be 1.25~2um, so it is more suitable for the processing of precision parts!
Engaged in CNC turning and milling, sometimes the tool holder cannot hold four knives, and the knife body needs to be cut;
When processing eccentric parts, it is necessary to use wire cutting to process gaskets of different thicknesses;
Sometimes when processing thin-walled parts, it is necessary to design thin-walled sleeves, and when designing fixtures, it is necessary to design spring expansion sleeves, etc., all of which need to be processed by wire cutting.
Features of different wire cutting parts:
Wire cutting is divided into fast wire cutting, medium wire cutting and slow wire cutting.
1. Fast wire:
For reciprocating use, the processing speed is fast and the precision is low. Molybdenum wire is used for fast-moving wire, which is wear-resistant and has good conductivity.
2. Middle wire walking:
Before fast wire walking and slow wire walking, the processing speed is slow and the precision is high, but it can be used reciprocatingly. Molybdenum wire is also used.
3. Slow wire walking:
It is a kind of wire cutting, using electric spark cutting to corrode copper wire as electrode, the processing speed is slow, and the precision is extremely high, which can reach 0.001mm level.
